He didn't do a lot of reading when he was young. He also had no idea of being a writer. His favorite books at that time were comics. He also liked books with colored plates on them.It wasn't until he was 17 that Michael Bedard knew he wanted to be a writer. His first book was called Woodsedge. Michael works in a room in the basement of the house. The first time he writes, he uses a pencil and pretends he is typing it. He also uses a lot of reference material to direct his writing.Now he has a wife,Martha, and four children Isaac, Rebekah, Kiresten, and Zoe. His favorite book now is Madame Bovary.
