Accel Partners and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. also reportedly are teaming up to invest in distressed telecom assets through a Silicon Valley-based venture called Accel-KKR Telecom.Last June, Somera launched its Strategic Telecom Asset Recovery program (STAR) during SUPERCOMM. STAR helps carriers worldwide dispose of excess equipment.
