With small but serviceable maps.·Cocktails are back in vogue, and no self-respecting mixologist should be without The Cocktail Handbook (Sterling, 14.95), a large-format paperback with photos and recipes for 140 mixed drinks, from classics such as the Bloody Mary and Sidecar to something called Death in the Afternoon.
